Questions for Discussion
Getting to Know You: How did your parents settle disputes between you and your siblings?
- In what ways are anger and murder connected? What new standard of right and wrong was Jesus creating in Matthew 5:21-26?
- What are some attributes we should have if we’re trying to be like Jesus?
- How should we deal with irritating people in a Christ-like manner? What positive effect can those people have on our lives?
- Who do you tend to get angry with easier: people you know or those you don’t know? Why do you think that is?
- How would you explain the differences between forgiveness and grace? How are they similar?
- Why is it important to settle quickly with those with whom we have differences? What is the effect of letting things “fester” for too long?
Life Application: Are you good at initiating reconciliation when there are strained relationships in your life? What can you do to get better?
