Questions for Discussion

Getting to Know You: If you were to be appointed as an ambassador of the United States, where would you like to be sent? Why?

      >>> Read 2 Corinthians 5:11-21.

  1. What do you think Paul might be responding to in 2 Corinthians 5:11–15?
  2. What are some of the motivations for evangelism listed in 2 Corinthians 5:11-21? Which ones do you find most compelling?
  3. As ambassadors of Christ, what do you consider our greatest responsibility? Why?
  4. What is the “ministry of reconciliation?” What does it mean that Christ has given us this ministry?
  5. Do you agree that the obligation to share the Gospel with others is only for those called to do so? Why or why not?
  6. What do you find most intimidating about being an ambassador for Christ? What do you find comes more naturally?

Life Application: What changes do you need to make in order to be a better representative of Christ where He has sent you? Develop a plan to make those changes in order to fulfill your purpose as one of Christ’s ambassadors.
