No man or woman in Washington is going to save us. The real answer is always found is God’s Word.

Questions for Discussion
Getting to Know You: What part of the world do your ancestors come from? Why do you think they left their homes and family and came to America?
- During His time on earth, do you believe that Jesus was a force for political change? Why or why not?
- How should we as believers distinguish an unjust law from a just law? Give an example of both.
- Read Mark 15:1-15 together. What do these passages of Scripture reveal to us about politics and power?
- Read Romans 13:2 together then read Acts 5:29. How do these verses work together to give direction to Christians who find themselves under a system of government that neither fears nor honors God?
- What would be some reasons that God might allow a corrupt and immoral government to rule?
- Can the church be a catalyst for change in the community independent from the government? How?
Life Application: Are your political views influenced by the Bible or are your Biblical views influenced by your politics? Begin to pray and submit your pollical leanings to the Lord and allow Him to influence those leanings to align with the clear teaching of Scripture.
